Burträsk Hat Museum

Join us on a time travel adventure to the Burträsk Hat Museum at Vasabrogatan 8, a museum for all ages.

This is a truly unique museum that displays 350 hats for both men and women from around 1930 to 1960. These are hats that perhaps your mother, grandmother, or great-grandmother might have worn, or ones you may remember from your youth.

For the gentlemen, there are berets, caps, bowler hats, and leather motorcycle helmets.

The museum also features hat boxes, hat pins, and the tools and materials needed to make a hat.

Most hats are available for you to try on! Feel free to bring your own hat when you visit. Plenty of mirrors are available – remember to bring a camera!

The Culture and Crafts Association Nävarnas Hus serves delicious refreshments in its café.

Open Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM, or by appointment (070-3135206 or 070-3746447).
