ABOUT BURTRÄSK EXPERIENCE

Burträsk Experience is a cluster of small-scale attractions related to food, nature, culture,
adventure and relaxation in around Burträsk in Västerbotten. We work together to develop
a sustainable and appealing tourist destination with warm, welcoming hosts and memorable
experiences. Together we want to help create a vibrant area with more visitors,
residents and entrepreneurs who love our home – just like we do.

The Burträsk Experience includes Edelvik’s Garden, Burträsk Camping, Burträsk Inn,
Burträsk Saluhall indoor market, Villa Insikt in Innansjön, White Mountain Lodge in Kalvträsk,
Skråmträsk Kvarn, Bygdsiljumbacken/Bike Park and Burträsk Experience Center.

BED & BREAKFAST WITH CULTURAL SCENE

Stroll around the beautiful manor environment and smell the fragrant scents emanating from the lush viewing garden. You can get something tasty to eat from the garden café, which has its own bakery, while listening to live music and the community’s best storytellers. Why is it that Västerbottensost® cheese can only be made in Burträsk? Learn the secrets behind the unique flavour and hear the history of the cheese, which was created by accident by dairymaid Ulrika Eleonora Lindström in 1872. After a slice of Västerbottensost cheese pie and some chit-chat in the café, you can’t resist buying some local delicacies from the lovely shop.

ORGANIC SUMMER CAFÉ

It smells good in Skråmträsk. It smells of sun-drenched strawberries at the pick-your-own strawberry farm, of leather at the shoemaker, of freshly baked bread in the old mill. You pass by families cooling off with organic soft drinks and ice creams, and find a spot outside in the shade. When you taste the liquorice brownies and lingonberry biscuits, you will understand why the café is listed in the White Guide. You pour another cup of KRAV-certified coffee and lean back.

When summer arrives, the ski resort has been transformed into Bike Park and you are ready to take on the challenge. You peek out over the precipice, take a deep breath and pedal down, down, down!
